Wash Common Community Festival 2022
On Saturday the 10th of September 2022 the second Wash Common Community Festival will be held at the Falkland Cricket Club from 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The event is free to attend, car parking is limited so you are encouraged to walk to the Cricket Club if possible.
Last year the event was attended by hundreds of local people who enjoyed music from local bands and stalls and activities provided by many local Community Groups.
This year food and drinks will be available in the Bowlers Arms. There will be a beer tent on the cricket field, a barbecue providing hot food throughout the afternoon and hot drinks and food available from several of the stalls located throughout the site.
Children may enjoy archery and for younger children a ball pit area. Adults can enjoy visiting the Wash Common Produce and Craft Show, the new Cricket Pavilion, and the brand-new 1st Wash Common Scout Hall that has just been built in the newly named Rambler Wood, recently bought by the Scouts from the Cricket Club.
Last years event will be remembered by many for the excellent musical entertainment and festival atmosphere throughout the afternoon which we hope will encourage many local people to attend again this year. All local Community Groups are once again invited to attend and to use the event to showcase what they do, encourage new members and volunteers, and raise funds for their Community Group. Any Community Group that has not been contacted by the organisers but wish to attend should contact organiser Eugene Futcher on 0777 185 7684 to request an application form.
