We are Kennet Community Radio, an organisation dedicated to bringing local community radio back to Newbury and Thatcham.
Formed in October 2012 as a not-for-profit voluntary organisation following a fantastic response to our initial public meeting in September, we have been broadcasting online since November 2012.
Having had 2 successful temporary licenses (RSL’s), our application for our full-time FM Community Radio licence has been submitted. We are very hopeful in being awarded the license.
We are not-for-profit, run by volunteers, and we rely entirely on donations and sponsorship from our kind and generous supporters. We are very grateful to the local businesses and organisations that are supporting us – please support them, to help them carry on supporting us.
