Local mental health charity plays vital role through the pandemic

Eight Bells for Mental Health in Newbury have been helping people with mental health issues for eleven years.

Started, and named after, the old Eight Bells pub building in Bartholomew Street, the charity has around 400 members or users who regularly visit their centre at the Newbury Quaker (Friends) Meeting House in Highfield Avenue. That is just by the council offices in Market Street.

On Kennet Radio this morning, Kathryn Dundas, from the organisation, talked in depth about the work of the charity and the crucial role it has played in supporting local people during the pandemic.
