Learn how to weave with willow to make a delightful structure for your garden this summer. The support will be ideal for sweet peas but also suitable for clematis or any plant that likes to scramble!

Christine Brewster, your tutor for the day, will assist you in exploring different designs for weaving willow and look at the potential of willow as a material. You will learn how to prepare and select English willow and combine it with traditional basket making methods to make a quality structure to take home to grace your garden.

No previous experience of working with willow is required but those who want to brush up on existing skills will be welcome to come along. Most work will be done at table top height mostly standing up, although you’ll need to bend and stretch as your structure grows to its full height.

Please bring secateurs and a sharp knife if you have them, dress for mess as the willow can be a bit grubby.
