There is an amber warning for snow and ice in place until 11:00 today with temperatures in the Thatcham and Newbury area at around 3c. The Met Office says that conditions will ease around midday.

Newbury College is telling all pupils NOT to turn up because all lessons and exams are cancelled.

Thames Valley Police has issued a warning for hazardous traffic conditions in the area. Police advising drivers not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
A driver has reported that a vehicle has skidded off the road in Floral Way in Thatcham. The side roads are very hazardous everywhere so beware.
There is a report of a road traffic accident on the Bath Road just East of Thatcham.
Great Western Railways report that services are running from Thatcham and Newbury stations.
If you are heading to Basingstoke, there is disruption on the service between Reading and Basingstoke due to staff being unable to get into work.
