West Berks MPs working for PC Harper justice
Newbury MP Lee Dillon joined with the Thames Valley Police Federation, Matthew Barber, and Olivia Bailey MP outside No.10 Downing Street, marking an important moment in recognising the more than one million people who called for justice of PC Andrew Harper.
Thousands of those signatures came from residents across Newbury and West Berkshire and this week the Government confirmed that PC Harper’s killers will not be eligible for early release.
Lee Dillon hugely welcomed that decision, commenting that it was testament to the perseverance and bravery of PC Harper’s family and former colleagues, who have tirelessly campaigned in his memory. He thanked everyone in Newbury, West Berkshire and across the country who signed the petition and supported the campaign.
