Summer family fun in Thatcham

There are plenty of fun activities coming up for families in Thatcham.

A Monster Hero Safari, a minesweeper hunt and community artwork are all being supported by Thatcham Town Council.

Launching on July 17th, the Monster Hero Safari is an interactive story trail, played on a mobile device, and specifically designed for families with a range of children’s ages in mind. Young children can spot the colourful and unique characters along the trail and older children will enjoy the interactive elements of the window displays and story. Monsters will appear in 10 units in Thatcham town centre.

Participation costs £2 per family, with no charge for the first 100 families that sign up, courtesy of Thatcham Town Council. Players can choose to make a voluntary donation, if they wish, to N.H.S Charities Together.

From August 1st, there’ll be a Minesweeper Hunt in Thatcham town centre. This is similar to “Minecraft” where players follow a trail.

More details of those two events will follow.

The Council is also supporting “Joining Together”, the artwork celebrating key workers which adorns Lower Way and other areas of Thatcham. They are providing funding to buy paints, so “Joining Together” can continue to fill local fences with more wonderful cardboard cut outs.
