OPCC Survey on Coercive Control

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) has announced a new survey on coercive control, as part of a new campaign by the OPCC to raise awareness of relationship abuse so people experiencing it can seek help.

They are launching the campaign under the name Victims First, which supports victims and witnesses of crime across the Thames Valley. The OPCC manages Victims First.

Relationship abuse is not just physical abuse. It includes emotional and controlling abusive behaviours – also called “coercive control”.

The survey is to gather experiences of relationship abuse, and the data from the survey will support the campaign.
