Newbury Station Car Park Closure
From Monday 14th October the car park at Newbury railway station will be partially closed to allow the construction of a multi-storey car park, as part of the major upgrade of facilities at the station.
Aside from drop off points and taxis, the north side (accessed via Station Approach) will be inaccessible from Cheap Street. Great Western Railway confirm there will be a temporary car park provided near the site of the old bus station, accessed via Market Street, and temporary parking at the Racecourse Station.
The work is expected to continue until November 2020, and will provide a large increase in spaces once complete. The south side car park in Station Road is unaffected.
Further disruption to rail users is expected during the closure of Market Street for a month from 28th October, which is the advertised route to the temporary car park.
