‘Newbury in Bloom 2025’ campaign is officially underway

Residents, businesses, and community groups are invited to start planning their entries and register now.

The deadline for submissions is 23 May 2025, with judging commencing 23 June 2025.

Cllr Ian Jee, Chair of the Council’s Green Spaces Working Group, expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s competition saying, “We are incredibly proud of the Newbury in Bloom community and the success of the campaign over the past eight years. We encourage everyone to get involved again, and I’m excited to see the fantastic work being done by our local communities. This year, we have several new community groups taking part, and we eagerly look forward to their contributions.”

Newbury Town Council remains committed to engaging with residents, supporting their ongoing projects, and celebrating the dedication of the ‘In Bloom’ communities. The campaign’s goal is to enhance the town’s beauty, promote horticultural excellence, and create a greener, cleaner, and more inviting environment for everyone.

Additionally, the success of this initiative will contribute significantly to Newbury’s entry in the Thames & Chilterns in Bloom 2025 competition. Cllr Jee also extended his gratitude to the event’s generous sponsors, stating, “We appreciate the support of The Yew Tree Garden Centre, Rivar Sand & Gravel Ltd, Sundog Hire, and Greentips, who have provided valuable sponsorship and prizes for this year’s competition.”
