New vaccination centre to start in the Kennet Centre

Zohib Sheikh, Director of Abra Healthcare Ltd, has announced that there will be a new vaccination centre starting in the Kennet Centre from Friday 21st May.

Writing on the West Berkshire Community Corona Virus Support page, Mr Sheikh stated:

We’re live on the national booking system guys!! We’ll be administering Pfizer jabs, so under 40’s get booking! 38+ only at the moment as per government guidelines. We’re opening for jabs on Friday 21st. Circa 1170 slots on opening weekend, so get booking.

The Kennet Shopping vaccination centre is in addition to the Boots vaccination centre in Northbrook Street, which has been operating since last weekend.

COVID-19 Vaccination Programme

In Berkshire West, which covers Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham council areas, the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for this vaccination programme. The CCG is working with Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, South Central Ambulance Service and the councils to ensure people living and working in the area are provided with the most appropriate, relevant and high quality healthcare services.
