Great support for the elderly from the Fair Close Centre in Newbury

Newbury’s Fair Close Centre has been established for 50 years and is the leading charity in the Newbury and District area supporting the elderly. They are open six days a week with many programmes and activities. Their main feature is their lunches and meals on wheels service. It’s a friendly and happy environment where seniors can drop in for just a coffee and a chat, or a lunch or the various activities that they put on. There is a mini-bus service to bring in the elderly from around the area.

The meals on wheels service provides nutritious meals to those who benefit from a hot meal, delivered to their door by volunteer drivers.

If you want to make the centre aware of an elderly person who might benefit from their services, or if you’d like to volunteer to help the centre’s activities, please go to their website here.
