Emergency closure of Newbury’s Market Street

Newbury’s Market Street has been closed as at 5pm today, Saturday, to allow the fire brigade to retrieve signage/panelling that has blown loose from or around the Kennet Centre.

The police were reported to be on their way to the scene at 5pm.

The fire services are endeavouring to make the scene safe.

The closure is between Bartholomew Street and Cheap Street.
