Duchess of Sutherland calls at Newbury this morning

6233 Duchess of Sutherland stops at Newbury this morning on her long haul journey to West Somerset Railway. The train full of traditional brunch eaters called at the Newbury station to collect a further 40 or so lucky passengers.

Ray Wilton, a train enthusiast, said, “The locomotive pulled out of the station very well. Despite the wet tracks there wasn’t a hint of wheel spin.”
