Books on wheels are coming your way!

West Berkshire Council are extending their “order and collect” library service to their mobile library.

From Tuesday 1st September, readers are able to go online or phone to order books, and then collect them from the mobile library.

Those who are housebound can have a selection of books regularly delivered to their doorstep.

This is in addition to the existing “order and collect” service which is being used by many readers across West Berkshire.

You can reserve books online or tell the library people what books you like and they will pick a selection for you.

There are also a range of activities for all ages, which can be done at home.

Plans are also afoot to open the library buildings to the public – with precautions – from 21st September.

Our Mobile Library will be running from Tuesday 1 September for book collections by prior arrangement. Please telephone 01635 519827 to order your books or use our new Order & Collect service. We can take book returns also but unfortunately we can’t offer public access to the van for browsing stock at this time.
