Town Council calls virtual emergency online meeting

Newbury Town Council has called an emergency meeting to plan how the Council can respond to the coronavirus crisis and provide support where it’s needed most.  

The Council will also be making the necessary amendments to procedures and policies to ensure it can make rapid decisions and keep essential services operating as smoothly as possible.

Councillor Elizabeth O’Keeffe, Mayor of Newbury said: “This meeting is necessary to set out how the Council will respond and to give our officers the flexibility and resources to support the community through this Emergency.”

The ‘virtual’ online meeting will take place on Monday 30th March at 7.30pm.

It will be the Council’s first ever “virtual” meeting using Zoom, which the public can access through this link:
