Thatcham Town FC win funds to prepare their pitch

Thatcham Town FC has announced that they’ve been awarded Pitch Preparation Funding. This grant has been awarded by a consortium of footballing bodies.

This award will help the Kingfishers get their playing pitch into tip-top condition. This will prepare for when it is safe for playing to re-start after the Coronavirus lockdown.

The Premier League, the Football Association (FA), the UK Government and Sport England have got together. Through their Football Foundation, they have launched the £9.56million Pitch Preparation Fund. This will help clubs and organisations get their natural and artificial playing pitches into peak condition. That way, when the government does give the green light for playing to begin again, clubs like Thatcham Town FC will be ready for their teams to run out onto the field again.
