Thatcham community larder launches

Thatcham community larder has started to operate each Wednesday afternoon between 2pm and 6pm at the Frank Hutchins Community Hall, Bradley Moore square, Thatcham RG18 4QH.

The Thatcham Community larder is organised by the SOFEA charity and describes itself as “A membership based organisation available to all residents of Thatcham and surrounding villages.” It goes on to say: “We offer a signposting service, a place to meet people over a cup of tea and cake, plus affordable and sustainable food.”

On social media, the organisation has announced:

The Larder is a place to help support our community by offering a membership of £10 per year.
This includes access to all Larder support for example signposting, help and support from organisations a cuppa, cake and a chance to make new friends.
Food is also available at a very small cost. All food is sustainably sourced.
A single membership for £3.50 a week will allow up to 10 ambient items and a selection of fruit and veg.
A family membership for £7.00 a week will allow up to 20 ambient items and a selection of fresh fruit and veg.
