Thames Valley Kings coach Grant Barker celebrates winning Coach of the year at the Get Berkshire Active 2017 sports awards
Kings Division Three & Juniors Coach, Grant Barker celebrated winning Coach of the year at the Get Berkshire Active 2017 sports awards on Friday. Grant was shortlisted for the award after an excellent year as a coach including taking Kings to 4th in British Wheelchair Basketball Division Three last season (improving on finishing bottom of the league the season before) and coaching the Kings Under 15s team to national finals. He also helped coach the regional South East England Under 15s team to their first British Wheelchair Basketball National Junior Championships title back in August 2017.
Grant who lives in Wokingham continues to build on his success as the Kings Division Three coach as they currently lead the table in their League.
