ROOM FOR A ROCKSTAR?
The Watermill Theatre is on the hunt for local hosts to accommodate an actor or creative team member in their spare room or annexe, to help bring its epic production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar to life this summer. The Watermill accommodates many of its freelance staff onsite but regularly works with local hosts who house members of staff at certain times of the year when space onsite is limited. With a larger than usual cast and creative team due to work on Jesus Christ Superstar, they are now looking to expand the existing group of hosts. The show will play from 24 June – 21 September, and hosts will need to have full or partial availability between the beginning of June and the end of September and should live within driving distance (maximum 30 minutes’ drive time) of Bagnor. There will be a fee offered. With Jesus Christ Superstar set to spill out of the theatre into the gardens, be ready to be immersed into the heart of this epic musical, with an incredible cast of actor-musicians seamlessly fusing these classic roles with iconic music. Executive Director and Joint CEO Claire Murray said, “Every summer we are so grateful to our wonderful local communities who give our performers such a warm welcome and a comfortable stay during their time at the Watermill. We would love to expand our network of hosts in the local area and do hope that anyone with a spare room or annexe will consider joining this vital part of the Watermill family. Hosting a cast or creative team member is a brilliant way to support the arts locally – and to play your own role in bringing this spectacular production to life.” To express interest and find out more, please contact Jess Martin (Theatre Administrator for the Watermill) via [email protected] or call 01635 45834. |
