We’re Back to Full Power – and Sounding Better Than Ever!
Brilliant news! Our engineering work is complete, our shiny new aerial is proudly standing tall, and Kennet Radio is back broadcasting at full power.
If you noticed our FM signal was a bit weak over the past week or so, thanks for your patience whilst we got everything sorted. The wait has definitely been worth it – we’re now delivering that gorgeous upgraded sound quality we’ve been raving about to everyone across our entire FM coverage area.
What’s Changed?
Not only do we have a brand new aerial ensuring strong, reliable coverage, but our recently upgraded audio processing system means Kennet Radio now sounds absolutely fantastic.
We’re talking professional-grade audio quality – clearer presenters, richer music, and an all-round more enjoyable listening experience. It really is like the difference between standard definition and 4K, but for your ears!

We couldn’t have done this without the expertise and hard work of some brilliant people. Huge thanks to Alastair Toal (taking the photo) from Smart Engineering Group and Nik Fox (centre) from Cotswold Group who’ve worked tirelessly to get our transmission setup absolutely spot-on. Their dedication to getting us back to full strength whilst maintaining that crystal-clear sound quality has been exceptional. Julian (R) and Mo (L) were part of the team on site, too.

Of course, if you discovered our online streams whilst we were doing the work, do keep enjoying us that way too! We’re available on our website, through our app, and on all your smart speakers. But for those of you who love good old-fashioned FM radio, we’re delighted to be back serving you at full strength.
