Lower Way closed for roadworks
Lower Way in Thatcham is closed between its junction with London Road (A4) and its junction with Robertsfield.
As well as the road closure, vehicles travelling along London Road are prohibited from turning into Lower Way.
There is a signed diversion in place via London Road, Benham Hill, Bath Road, Chapel Street and The Moors (and vice versa).
The closure is so that Thames Water can carry out essential work on the sewer mains.
The closure and ‘no-turning’ prohibition started on 31st August and will be in place until 19th October 2020. The closure will be in place between 8am and 6pm every day, although residential access will be maintained throughout.
NOTE: There will be no Blue light access through the closure.
