Kennet Radio at the Hungerford Christmas lights switch-on

Christmas in Hungerford got off to a blazing start with the lights switch-on on Sunday.

Kennet Radio was centre-stage as Roger Beard, who has the freedom of the town of Hungerford, pressed the button on the traditional magnificent display of white lights.

The switch-on took place on the Town Hall steps at 5pm after a packed programme of entertainment from the likes of Hungerford Town Band, Hungerford Primary school choir, Hungerford Community Theatre, students from John O’Gaunt school, the Academy of Vocal Arts and Abbie Cleary.
