Hungerford food and artisan market returns

Hungerford’s popular outdoor food and artisan market is back with the first event scheduled for Sunday, 18th April from 10am to 1pm at the Croft Field Centre behind the Hungerford Nursery.

Visitors will find more than 20 stalls that are all from the local area, selling produce such as bread, honey, pies, cheese, eggs, meat, oil, cakes, mead and preserves. Local artisan goods include wooden chopping boards, hand-painted pottery kitchenware, eco-friendly soaps, gifts and lots more. It is free for visitors and a great opportunity to meet local producers and shop sustainably.

A one-way system will be in place and there are volunteer marshals to help ensure social distancing.

Committee chairwoman Penny Locke said:

We had lots of positive feedback about last year’s events and once again we have a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers who do everything possible to ensure that the event is safe. As it takes place outdoors, the risk of COVID spread is low, but we work hard to ensure social distancing and that everything is regularly sterilised.
