Hope, Strength & Courage – Christmas Hamper appeal

Hope, Strength & Courage are teaming up with Henwick Properties and Kennet Radio’s Wednesday morning G&T Breakfast show to promote their 2022 Christmas Hamper Appeal.

The Thatcham based group, headed by founder Karen De Monte, organise charity events to raise money for Newbury Cancer Care including West Berkshire Hospitals Rainbow Room and Gardens.

Following on from their successful 2022 Calendar Girls Calendar, where they raised over £7,000, they are hosting a Christmas Fayre at the Frank Hutchings Hall, Bradley Moore Square, Thatcham on Saturday 3rd December.

As part of the fund raising, they are preparing Christmas Hampers for the aged and needy locals in this difficult period.

They are looking for donations including Christmas puddings, chocolates, mince pies, tinned/non-perishable goods, drinks etc.

Donations can be dropped off at sponsors Henwick Properties, High Street Thatcham or Thatcham Town Council offices in Brownsfield Road.

Kennet Radio’s Graham Pocock and Tony Christian will be raising awareness via Kennet Radio. They will also be collecting and delivering items and helping to host the Christmas fayre.
