Have your say on the future of the North Wessex Downs

There’s a public consultation open on the Landscape Management Plan for the North Wessex Downs. This official Area of Natural Beauty covers three quarters of West Berkshire as well as parts of Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. The district has recently received international recognition for its Chalk Streams and Downs.

The plan sets out the ambitions and approach for managing what’s termed a National Landscape. This special place requires careful and considered management by all stakeholders and those who have a responsibility for it. The purpose of the Landscape designation is to ‘conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the area’.

You can have your say on the plan up to midnight on Wednesday April the 30th. To look at it and make a comment, please click here.
