Goldwell Park artwork tribute to Covid victims and key workers

A special art installation is being displayed in Newbury’s Goldwell Park from Wednesday 16th to Tuesday 22th September.

The Corn Exchange has organised for the showing of artist Luke Jerram’s tribute to those who have lost their lives from Covid-19, plus NHS and care workers.

Called “In Memoriam”, the artwork has been created from bed sheets and forming a giant red cross, it is intended to be a place of reflection.

The Corn Exchange website describes the installation as follows:

Constantly moving and creating new shadows in the weather, the flags stand together connecting us with the ever-changing environment and one another – representing the resilience and solidarity of our communities as we have, and continue to face these unprecedented times.
