Anyone for Pétanque? 

This popular game is played extensively across the continent and there is now a club in Newbury.

The new club has a terrain at the Falkland Cricket Club in Wash Common. Recently set up there are now over 20 members of the Wash Common Pétanque Club and they meet every week at 1:30pm on Monday and 3pm Wednesday. If you wish to try it out just pop along at these times.
