Will Young, joined by The Mayor and Santa light up Hungerford this Christmas.
Hungerford has perhaps the most admired Christmas lights in the area and the switch on is always a popular occasion. Doing the honours this year was Pop Star Will Young.
Young shot to fame after winning the inaugural series of ITV talent contest Pop Idol in 2002. He was joined by town mayor Helen Simpson and Constable of the Town & Manor Nicholas Lumley, who was master of ceremonies.
It all kicked off on time at 4pm on the steps of the Town Hall and we were entertained beautifully by the Hungerford Town Band, the Community of Hungerford Theatre Company and Hungerford Primary School Choir.
Father Christmas himself put in a surprise appearance, which all the young children loved. Overall a great event had by all.
Even our Franco picked up an early Christmas selfie…
