Wharf Road to be Closed for 2 Nights
Wharf Road will be closed from 1930 until 0500 Wednesday 3rd October through to Friday 5th October for its entire length (From Bear Lane to Wharf Street)
The closure is for resurfacing related to the new bus station development.
Due to the ongoing work in Market Place it will not be possible to leave the wharf area through the market and the following arrangements have been made
For the adjoining council car parks.
- The KFC and Corn Exchange car parks will be closed from 1800, to allow daytime parked cars to leave, any vehicles remaining after 1930 will be escorted out by the work contractors.
- The Wharf and library car parks. It will be possible to park here as normal until 1930, to exit the area cars will be authorised to leave via the canal bridge into Park way.
The Wharf taxi rank will operate as normal but vehicular access will be across the canal bridge.
Most bus services will have finished by 1930 but those remaining will be rerouted via the A339.
