National Non-Smoking Day on 9th March

Wednesday March 9th is national non-smoking day aimed at helping people locally and nationally give up smoking. Whether you’ve tried to stop before and started again, or you’re trying to stop smoking for the first time, the NHS, your GP and Smoke Free Life Berkshire are able to help.

On the “Friday Morning with Simon Trevers” programme on the 4th March, Simon caught up with Hani Khan from Smoke Free Life Berkshire to find out more. If you missed the conversation, or you’d like to hear it again, you can listen to the interview by looking for the programme in the “listen again” section of our website, and you can find out more and get help with stopping smoking through one of these channels:

  • Get in touch with your local GP
  • Get in touch with Smoke Free Life Berkshire – call 0800 622 6360 or simply text the word QUIT to 66777
  • Visit Smoke Free Life Berkshire at the Kennet Centre Unit 25 each Thursday between 10am and 3pm, or on Northbrook Street on Saturdays in their mobile consultation unit between 9am and 5pm.

A range of help and assistance is available completely free of charge for all residents of West Berkshire including Newbury, Thatcham and Hungerford.
