Local charity takes national award

Digit<all>, the Newbury-based charity helping young people develop digital skills, has received national recognition at the Third Sector Awards for empowering children to tackle real-world challenges through technology. At this year’s awards, the charity won the Small Charity Corporate Partnership Award for its collaboration with Amazon Future Engineer and was also celebrated as a finalist in several other categories, including Charity Chair of the Year, Small Charity, Big Achiever, and Small Charity of the Year.

Building on its earlier recognition as West Berkshire Charity of the Year, the charity’s influence continues to grow locally, nationally, and internationally. With a core team of just two, supported by freelancers and volunteers, Digit<all> has reached nearly 600,000 young people across 59 countries, equipping underserved learners with vital digital skills while fostering climate action and wellbeing.

Since 2022, Digit<all> have partnered with Amazon Future Engineer to deliver Coding for Climate Action, a free six-week curriculum in which pupils aged 7–14 use coding to address real-world environmental challenges. Between June 2024 and May 2025 alone, the programme trained over 1,500 teachers and reached more than 95,000 students across the UK.

“This award is a testament to the incredible dedication of our staff, trustees, ambassadors, and volunteers,” said CEO Peter Marshman. “Every day, we work to empower children across the UK and beyond, and this recognition celebrates the impact of our efforts. Our partnership with Amazon has allowed us to inspire hundreds of thousands of young people to see themselves in tech-driven, sustainable futures.”
