Ladies Golf at Donnington Grove

Donnington Grove hosted the Gold League AGM lunch on the 1st April with 52 ladies in
attendance from 13 different clubs. Our Captain, Juliet Culley, reported Grove had the final
Scratch Silver League at Temple on 30th May needing just 2 point to win the league and, in the
match against Reading, they came away with a 4 point win.

Juliet also reported that fixtures for the High Silver League started 19th March at Test Valley and
Donnington Grove won 2 out of 3 matches. A solid start. The next fixture is 9th April at Sanford
Springs against Newbury & Crookham, and then 23rd April at Mapledurham against Basingstoke.

Grove Ladies are also represented in the Duncan Trophy and on 12th March travelled to The
Caversham to play the first round against Reading.  In dreadful weather conditions, they came
away with a win.

Juliet sends her congratulations to Maria Tillet who achieved a hole in one for the TOGs Club
competition.

Ladies golf is very much alive and well in Berkshire, and most especially at Donnington Grove
