Kings Division Two team secure promotion with a win over London Titans
Thames Valley Kings Division 2 team hosted London Titans this past Saturday with a win guaranteeing them a spot at National League finals and promotion to Division One.
In an action-packed first quarter – which saw a great end to end action from both teams trading baskets and as well as three-pointers. Kings edged the lead 19-15 at the quarter buzzer. The 2nd quarter started in similar fashion as the first as both teams traded the lead at times Kings finding the baskets through Chris Nash and the Barker Brothers, Liam, and Reece. Titans edged the lead late in the period but It was a Reece Barker buzzer-beating three-pointer that gave Kings the half-time lead, 29-28.
The game continued the same way until midway through the quarter before Kings took control with a 12 point unanswered run as they tighten up their defense. Nash and Barker Brothers all continued to find great shooting form. Kings led 46-37 at the break. In the final quarter, The game remained tight as both teams shared baskets right till the final buzzer, The game-ending 58-47 to Kings.
With this win, Kings have secured promotion from the Division with a guaranteed top-two finish which will also mean they will qualify for National finals.
