KATS Panto – Ali’s Barbers and the Fawlty Sleeves
This year’s Fabulous February Panto from the Kennet Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) is the home-grown Ali’s Barbers and the Fawlty Sleeves.
Written and directed by KATS chairman John Hicks and starring members of the KATS company, the show follows heroine Bella who inherits her Uncle Ali’s barber shop next to the local tailor shop, “The Fawlty Sleeves“.
She thinks that her future will be cutting hair and a cappella singing with her Aunt Fatima and next-door neighbour Mark, but the scheming Lady Fortunata has plans to buy up all the small shops in the town, demolish them, and build the biggest shopping centre in the world.
The stage is set for a battle of wills and popularity as Bella and her friends struggle to stop their town being bulldozed. It is a modern pantomime in the traditional style and has plenty of songs and jokes to keep both the young and young-at-heart entertained.
The show is at Kennet School, Stoney Lane, Thatcham, for four performances only: three evening performances at 7.30pm on 20th to 22nd February 2020, plus a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday 22nd February.
Tickets are limited, so book yours now to avoid disappointment. Tickets cost £12 (£10 child) from the Box Office: call 07955 256645, or visit www.kats.org.uk.
