CharityfbHungerfordThings To Do

Fancy a trip down the K&A canal?

The Rose of Hungerford is a charity canal boat running regular public trips on the Kennet and Avon canal, with  profits going to support canal boating for the disabled. It has recently undergone a major refit to meet the high standards required by the Marine And Coastguard agency as well expanding facilities for the disabled .

The regular trips are starting now and will run morning and afternoon every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Boating on the canal is a relaxing and enjoyable way to relax, but as Mole in Wind in The Willows put it “Believe me my young friend there is nothing absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats”

Trips can be booked at katrust.org.uk or at Fare Wise Travel in Hungerford High Street
