Recent and ongoing excavations within and around the Roman town of Silchester (Calleva Atrebatum) have shed important light on its pre-Roman origins. These discoveries about Iron Age Calleva will be described with an illustrated talk by archaeologist Professor Michael Fulford from the Archaeology Department of the University of Reading.
