Arts for Hungerford Young Musicians’ Concert

Now a regular feature in the Arts for Hungerford calendar, our Young Musicians’ Concerts always provide a fabulous evening of very varied music to delight our audiences. Do not be put off by the age of these players – the standard of performance at these events is exceptional. This time featuring a diverse range of instruments and repertoire, to include Elgar’s Cello Concerto (1st mvt), Prokofiev’s Flute Sonata (1st mvt), works for oboe by Henri Dutilleux and Jeffrey Agrell, Mozart arias, the 1st mvt of Dittersdorff’s bass concerto and Tansman’s Suite for bassoon. Players include principals from The National Children’s Orchestra, Berkshire Youth Symphony Orchestra and Berkshire Youth Choir as well as members of the Junior Departments of London Conservatoires. A stunning programme put together and performed by Berkshire teenagers – come along and see what they can do.
