Appeal for help in identifying man who died on railway line near Thatcham
British Transport Police are appealing for the public’s help to try and identify a man who sadly died in West Berkshire.
Officers were called to the line near Thatcham at 9pm on Tuesday 29 August following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, but sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Despite a number of enquiries detectives have not yet been able to identify the man and inform his family. They are appealing for anyone who may recognise the description to get in touch as soon as possible to assist their investigation.
The man is described as white, aged mid 20’s to early 30’s, of slim build and with brown hair. He has a line drawn tattoo of an apple on his lower right arm, and was wearing a red and black Guru logo hoody, black jeans and white socks. Officers believe he may have owned a blue and green Carrera bike which was in the area.
