An evening with the Cor Meibion Morlais Male Voice Choir

Thatcham Rotary Club is hosting an evening with the world renowned Cor Meibion Morlais Male Voice Choir at Brockhurst School. Hermitage. –  The date is Saturday April 15, 7.30 – 9.30 pm.
Tickets are just £21.00 with proceeds going to the Newbury Soup Kitchen.

Come and enjoyed a magnificent evening of song provided by the 35 voices, knowing you are helping to improve the lives of those in need of help.
Cor Meibon Morlais are a Welsh male voice choir all the way from Ferndale in the Rhondda, South Wales.

The 35 or so members of the choir are drawn from all ages and a range of occupations who are all united by a love of singing.

Formed in 1928, since 1986 the Choir has been conducted by Director of Music, John Asquith, who studied Modern Languages at Oxford and in Saint Petersburg (Leningrad), specialising in Russian and French with Welsh. The choir have toured USA, Canada, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Spain, Czech Republic, Finland, Estonia, Hungary and Cyprus. They have sung on the pitch at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff
for the Rugby International between Wales v South Africa.

The choir will sing all kinds of music from Opera choruses and religious works to folk songs and jazz pop songs and Musical Theatre.

There will be an interval with bar and refreshments available.
