You can have your will written for free in October

If you’ve been putting off the task of writing your will, this could be a good month to finally do it.

October is “Free wills month”, when a group of well respected UK charities offer members of the public aged over 55 years the chance to have their simple wills written or updated by participating solicitors – free of charge.

The charities involved depend on legacies left in wills, so this is also an opportunity for you to be generous to your favourite good causes.

If you’re interested in this scheme, please go to the Free Wills Month website by clicking on the link below:

Cheap and Free Wills

You don’t have to use a solicitor when writing your will. But wills are legal documents, and can be invalidated by mistakes, so it’s important to have confidence that it’s been properly drafted. Solicitors should know their stuff and write you a watertight will that does exactly what you want it to.
