We are open! – website about re-opening shops and businesses in Newbury

A new website has been launched to provide a single source of information on Newbury shops and business that are re-open.

Called “Open for Business” it lists all the places that have re-opened. Details are given of opening times, appointment systems and such like.

The website has been set up by Newbury’s Business Improvement District. Their operations manager, Alison Drummond said:

“Great care has been taken to prepare the town centre for the reopening of non-essential shops and businesses, with signs and stickers clearly displayed throughout the town to help visitors stay safe and maintain social distancing. We want to reassure the public that it is safe to return to the town centre, and we want to make it easy for shoppers to plan their trip.

Our new web page provides a summary of which shops and businesses have reopened, or are due to reopen soon, and signposts visitors to further information about opening times and the safety measures in place. We have already seen an increased buzz around town this week, and we’re delighted to be supporting our businesses to begin to safely serve their customers again.”
