The Greenham Cold War continues….!

Following the sell-out performances of the Greenham Cold War Experience in historic buildings on Greenham Common, the Greenham Trust has commissioned a re-run of the performances for the end of May Bank Holiday week.

The Greenham Cold War Experience presents scenes from the Control Tower USAF flight control, the peace camp and in the Decontamination Suite. The site-specific scenes are performed and produced by a professional theatre team with a short presentation about the Cold War and Greenham Common’s role. The scenes are linked by a guided walk across the common (with the option to drive if you prefer).

Chris Boulton, Chief Executive of Greenham Trust says: “We are very pleased there is such interest in the unique and dramatic history of the Common. These Cold War scenes are designed to be entertaining but also to offer an immersive way of experiencing the serious central historical role of Greenham in the Cold War, which had impact around the world”

From Saturday 18 May to Bank Holiday Monday 27 May inclusive, there will be Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday performances for the public (18/19/25/26/27 May).

Special weekday performances have also been laid on for schools on 22/23/24 May. The events are suitable for secondary school students of drama and history, but also for older primary groups.
