Shaw House re-opens with new exhibitions

Shaw House and its grounds will reopen for visits from tomorrow, Saturday 29th May. The opening hours are: nearly every weekend (please check this website) and Bank Holiday Mondays until Sunday 2th6 September, and weekdays during school holidays from 10am – 4pm. The shop and toilets will be open and the café will run a take-out service (there is no indoor seating, but there are picnic tables outside).

Visitors can follow the one-way system through Shaw House to explore the new Dressed for Shaw’ exhibition. Discover the building’s history through period costume displays. There’s also the ‘Dressed for Battle’ civil war exhibition featuring surviving examples of arms and armour from the Littlecote House collection, currently on loan from Royal Armouries Museum.

Visitors can enjoy the open air ‘Altered States’ Sculpture Exhibition until Sunday, 27 June, on the Orangery Lawn at Shaw House. Sculptures will be well spaced apart to allow social distancing in the ground and all works on display will be available for purchase. There are also a variety of outdoor events currently on sale from family friendly theatre to opera.
