Newbury Vegan market returns

Newbury Business Improvement District (BID) has announced the return of Newbury Vegan Market.

Newbury BID confirm the market will return to the town centre on Sunday 8th August, and it is free for visitors to attend between the hours of 10am and 3pm. The event, founded by Vegan Fairs, is expected to bring in vegan (and vegan-curious) visitors from regions near and far to enjoy all things plant-based and cruelty free.

Subsequent markets are due to take place every three months and will deliver fresh and exciting vegan products and produce, from an array of vegan street food, baked goodies and sweet treats to sustainable clothing brands, animal-friendly cosmetics and beauty products, and ethical arts and crafts stalls, to name but a few.

The selection of independent and big-brand names set to make an appearance at Newbury Vegan Market only enhances the existing vegan-friendly offering at many of Newbury’s eateries, boutiques and cafes- many of which will be open to new customers on market day.

The town has an impressive selection of 30 stores that cater specifically to vegan diets, such as authentic Thai hotspot- Khon Kaen, street food specialists at The Cross Keys, Mexican-inspired foodies at The Lion Pub, and vegan brunch spots at Weavers Walk and The Flowerpot Café – recently achieving ‘Best Breakfast in Newbury’ status on TripAdvisor.

Furthermore, many retail businesses lining the historic town’s streets don’t shy away from crueltyfree and sustainable-shopping products, with stores such as Plum & Grain, Grape Tree, B The Lifestyle Shop, and Inn at Home, all boasting an array of vegan-friendly products.
