Hungerford and Kintbury level crossings to have overnight closures

Hungerford and Kintbury level crossings are set to have overnight closures in August.

Station Road, Hungerford will be closed at the level crossing overnight for two nights on Sunday 9^th August between 00:15 until 08:45, and Thursday 13^th August 2020 from 21:45 until 05:35 on Friday 14^th August 2020. These closures are necessary to allow road/rail vehicles access on and off the railway line. Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents and emergency services – although a short delay is to be expected.

Station Road in Kintbury will be closed at the level crossing for one night on  Sunday 9^th August while Network Rail carry out maintenance works to the crossing. The closure is expected to be in place between 00:15 and 08:45. During the closure all through-traffic will be diverted via Newbury Street, Holt Road, to Hamstead Marshall, Park Lane, Milkhouse Road, and the A4 and vice versa.
