Born in Southend-on-Sea, David has always been very interested in radio. During the 1970s and 1980s he went out to visit various offshore stations
David grew up in the Newbury area and has lived locally for over 40 years. He was a presenter on both of the Kick FM trial broadcasts in the late 1990s which eventually led to to Kick FM being awarded a full-time licence.
David believes that Newbury and Thatcham should have their own local radio station, which is one of the reasons he is actively supporting Kennet Radio. He was a presenter on the first Kennet Radio trial FM broadcast in 2013, and in May will be presenting the Sunday morning show from 10-12noon as well as the Tuesday evening soft rock show from 7-10pm for the second Kennet Radio trial broadcast.
He has been a presenter on Hospital Radio Reading (HRR) since 1986. He was a presenter on both of the short term broadcasts to celebrate 40 and 50 years of Hospital Radio broadcasting. For the last 7 years David has presented Saturday Sport for HRR.
