By gum! New machine to clean up Newbury’s town centre
West Berkshire Council has invested in a machine that will clean chewing gum from the pavements in Newbury Town Centre.
The machine will be operated by Newbury Business Improvement District (BID) and removes the gum in an environmentally friendly way, using a sugar water solution.
It is compact and quiet.
It can be used at anytime, as it causes minimal disruption to shoppers and businesses.
